Aesop’s Fables can still teach our young ones about life and morals. Read this one about a thirsty crow, who doesn’t give up. This folk tale has been rewritten to be used in storytime. Ty, the five year old is just learning to read and I love seeing his eyes light up when he recognizes his name, or mine in a book. My oldest, Marissa is just had her first baby last month and I am so excited to get I See Me books for my new grandchild. I realize of course, that my new grandbaby won’t appreciate the book for awhile, but her mom will and I will too.

Once upon a time there were three bearswho lived in a little house in the woods. There was a great big papa bear, with a great big voice. A middle sized mama bear, with a middle sized voice, and a little wee baby bear with a wee little voice.
Once upon a time there lived a poor widow and her son Jack. Jack didn’t like to work hard and was frequently lazy. He didn’t like to help his mother as much as he should. Eventually, the widow and her son ran out of food and money and all they had left was an old milk cow. The widow told Jack to take the old milk cow to town and sell it so they could buy some food.
