Summer Fun for Kids with a Picnic Story Time

Today we have great summer time ideas for a fun story time.

To begin this summer time fun picnic story time spread some picnic blankets out on the floor and place a couple of picnic baskets near by. Free printable crafts for kids  are a perfect way to compliment one of my favorite authors,  Shel Silverstein.  He wrote some brilliant poetry for all ages.  Among his best work were his stories and poems for children.  They are enduring, fun and very profound.  In fact,  I can’t read The Giving Tree
to groups because I get so choked up, it’s embarrassing.  The little kids look at me funny and the parents have expressions that are impossible to read.

Father’s day can be a lot of fun for kids. Here are some ideas to make a father’s day story time fun. First of all bring a baseball and glove or a fishing pole and  some tools to show the kids.
